Some Spring Initiatives

If you are looking to audit a course this spring online, here are some opportunities I am a part of at Houghton:

1. Linguistics - Steve Doty, a Wycliffe missionary, will be teaching Introduction to Linguistics and I will be beaming the class live Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 8:55 if there are some people interested in taking the class for audit or credit.

Did you know you can minor in something at Houghton without even being a Houghton student or without seeking a degree? How about a minor in Linguistics? Email me if you're interested (ken.schenck@houghton.edu).

2. Philosophy - whether you want to audit for ordination, for lifelong learning, or take it for credit and transfer it back somewhere, class with me starts the 13th. Eight live evening sessions on Monday nights. Want to know what an informed Christian worldview might look like?

3. Latin for Today - don't know what quid pro quo means? I'm teaching Latin 8 nights starting in March. Have a high school student wanting to get in some college credit before college? Want to audit yourself? Monday nights.

4. Intro to Ministry - I'm not teaching it, but Michael Jordan is teaching intro to ministry, beaming live from Watermark church in Buffalor in March. Feel a call to ministry? You can audit or take toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Christian Ministries. Live Tuesday nights for 8 weeks.

Whew! A lot going on!
