Of the making of books, there is no end...

Woe is me. I come away from SBL with a whole new list of books to add to the list... and I've hardly started on the ones from last year!!!

So how can I get through these books, both old and new???
  • N. T. Wright, Paul and the Faithfulness of God
  • Doug Campbell, The Deliverance of God
  • Doug Campbell, Framing Paul
  • Richard Hays, Reading Backwards
  • John Collins, Early Judaism
  • Bruce Longenecker, Thinking through Paul
  • Torrey Seland, Reading Philo
  • Joel Green, The World of the New Testament
  • Mark Wilson, Purple Fish
  • Sandy Richter, The Epic of Eden
  • Hans Georg Gadamer, Truth and Method
  • Scott Soames, Philosophy of Language
  • Greg Woolf, Rome
Alas! All I know to do is to try to read a chapter a week of one of these. Stay tuned on Monday to see if I've succeeded.

Ken...I just finished R. Hays book, Reading Backwards. Nice to hear from an overworked dean who now can only write in his spare time...do you know anyone like that?

You make me laugh! First, I'm not surprised you have already read it, even though you're a Provost type. But you might remember in Hays' preface he mentions that this book is a shorter version of a longer book he hasn't been able to finish precisely because he is Dean!!!
