Reflections on his daughter's death

I have prayed for Ben and his family for a number of years. He is a kind gentleman and a great Christian scholar.

I am very sorry to hear about this sudden and unexpected loss. It is hard at any time to loose a loved one, but when it is under such circumstances, it is doubly so. And this is what breaks my heart to hear theologizing, but if that brings him comfort, then so be it. I find it does not bring me comfort but anguish/anger. And I hate theologizing about any such matter, as such trivalizes human loss, human love, and human relationship!

My greatest fear. Dr. Witherington and his family are in my deep and earnest prayers and will be for the forseeable future.

Kyrie Eleison!

And you are in my prayers as well, Angie. I am very sorry that you feel that way. I find it very sad.
