Looking for unique features to Luke’s presentation of Palm Sunday, one is that some Pharisees tell Jesus to rebuke his followers for calling him "king." Jesus says that if they didn’t, the rocks would cry out. Luke has changed Mark's "Blessed is he who comes" to "Blessed is the king who comes."
Luke also uniquely mentions Jesus weeping over Jerusalem as he nears the city and has a prediction of Jerusalem’s destruction--something that would have been particularly meaningful to Luke’s audience since Luke probably was written after the temple’s destruction.
