McCain was hilarious, even if there were a few slightly tense parts. Obama had a few laughs but it's pretty clear to me that he is basically a serious guy.

That WAS hysterical. :) Glad to see that the Senator (and possibly his runningmate, from the buzz I hear surrounding her upcoming SNL appearance!) has a future in comedy if not in the White House.
Don't people laugh at McCain (and Palin) rather than with him? You don't want another 'comedian' in the Whitehouse.
Oh, Steph, credit where credit is due. Sen. McCain had great material and he delivered it perfectly for the occasion. Obama did OK but he was no match. One wonders how different the presidential race would be today if THAT McCain were the candidate.
