Aldous Huxley quote

Enjoyed this quote I came across today:

"If it were not for the intellectual snobs who pay -- in solid cash -- the tribute which philistinism owes to culture, the arts would perish with their starving practitioners. Let us thank heaven for hypocrisy."

True, that barbarianism is forbidden to the "elite", I think this is appropo...but just as much so that reason creates mindless robots according to their "form" of cultural elitism...
