I think I might be able to handle the book you are talking about. We'll see. It contains the famous article where he defined the movement as the "new perspective."

One of Dunn's legacy is the popularizing of names for movements. Even if Wright coined the phrase "third quest for the historical Jesus," Dunn's the one who made it stick.Ken Schenckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09745548537303356655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8355052.post-84281030033630814412007-12-21T06:14:00.000-05:002007-12-21T06:14:00.000-05:00I have been reading Romans over the Christmas Brea...I have been reading Romans over the Christmas Break. The first time I read it all the way through was last year, and it spoke very specifically to the context I was in then (I was going through a painful transition period), but I have read it all the way through again a couple of days ago and I began seeing things I never saw when I only read the one or two verses that my Baptist minister quoted when I was little.

I have only read a little bit of Sanders, I have read "The Challenge of Jesus" by Wright, and Piper spoke at our school once last year. I am not familiar, however, with Dunn. Could you refer me to the work you are referring to? I am having a lot of trouble deciphering through Paul's writing in Romans, but your post here has really helped.

Thanks!Dannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11468537974498583624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8355052.post-50826499498700137212007-12-20T14:16:00.000-05:002007-12-20T14:16:00.000-05:00Thank you ken for your ongoing conversation with ...Thank you ken for your ongoing conversation with Wright, Dunn, Sanders and Piper on all this…

I have not been posting comments but like hundreds of others every day I am reading and learning and thinking… thanks for the help in that…Keith Druryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05058949281404407630noreply@blogger.com
