We all need to step back and look at out traditions in a fresh light, humbled by the Holy Spirit.
Just because we were taught it doesn't make it true.
God Bless, shalom.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8355052.post-41967622763953434772009-05-03T04:35:00.000-04:002009-05-03T04:35:00.000-04:00Ken - find this post hugely stimulating and.
Bob ...Ken - find this post hugely stimulating and.

Bob - I would tend to agree with you, only because I'm from a similar church. Membership for us is a declaration of belonging, and we welcome people from a very wide range of traditions. So you'd say we were inclusive. But we make it known (when people come into membership) that the teaching position of the church is such-and-such, and that anyone who teaches on behalf of the church (on a sunday, or in a children's group, or home group) would be expected to respect our position. But we explicitly say that we don't expect people to conform; just to acknowledge that this is the teaching position of the congregation as a whole.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12569319536475839604noreply@blogger.com
